A Special Thank You To Those That Make Our Lyndhurst Home Days Celebration Possible
Released: 9/12/2014

For as many years as I can recall ... and for most of my life, right here in Lyndhurst ... the official end of summer has always been marked by Lyndhurst Home Days.
The rides, the food, the fun and entertainment, and most of all, the neighbors, all come together to remind us that we live in a great community.
My family and I had a great time, and I know that those of you who were in the park had a great time as well.
A big thank you to the Home Days Committee for all the hard work in putting the Lyndhurst Home Days weekend together, you did an outstanding job. The annual parade on Sunday is always a joy, to see all the familiar smiling faces up and down Mayfield Road ... and who can forget the expressions on the children's faces as they were showered with candy.
The Home Days weekend could never happen without the cooperation and hard work of our City Employees, all departments come together to make sure our park is clean, safe and welcoming.
But most of all, thank you, our neighbors, for you are the reason that Lyndhurst Home Days is the longest running community event in the area, with over 88 years of neighbors coming together to celebrate our hometown.
It was great to see all of you and we all look forward to next year. Thank you for helping us to make Lyndhurst a "Community of Neighbors!"
