What is the Lyndhurst Garden Club all about? We meet at 7 PM the first Thursday of every month (except January, July, and August) at the Lyndhurst Community Center, 1341 Parkview Road. Programs are free, no reservations are required. In 2011, programs have included the Basics of Floral Arranging, Orchids, Bees, and Composting. Our November Meeting (Nov 3, 2011) is scheduled to be "Winter Porchscaping" by Kathy Garson from Lowe's Greenhouse.
Civic activities include providing a scholarship to a student studying horticulture, tending the garden at the historic Little Red Schoolhouse (a 1-one schoolhouse, located just south of the corner of Mayfield Road and Richmond Road), collecting donations for Ronald McDonald House, and creating tray favors (decorated mini-pumpkins, valentines, etc) for Meals on Wheels.
Whether you're new to gardening, an experienced gardener, or anywhere in between, the men and women of the Lyndhurst Garden Club invite you to join us! In 2012, we will celebrate our 75th Anniversary "75 years old and still growing". Come and grow with us!
